Makin Island Council Guest House

The Island Council guest house is located in Tematairawa village close to the Island Council Offices and the ocean side and is about a 7 minutes ride by truck from the airport.
It is a concrete building that offers two double rooms and three single rooms, furnished with beddings and mosquito nets. There is a lounge in the entrance area adjacent to the kitchen room. Cooking facilities are provided such as stove and utensils. They have one share toilet and a shower. They also have one Kiakia that can be used for resting, relaxation and sleeping as well. They serve meals i.e breakfast, lunch and dinner. But guests can also cook their own food. Island guided tour, motorbike hire, truck hire, and boat hire can be arranged with the Clerk on request. It is also important that airport pickup and drop off are arranged in advance with the Clerk prior to arrival on Makin.
