Rickata Lodge, a newly opened accommodation for visitors travelling to Abemama and has been named after its owners, Richard and Akata - Rickata. The lodge is located less than 5 minutes ride from the airport. It has a peaceful and quiet surrounding with no neighbours, ideal for those seeking their own privacy and enjoying an atmosphere of serenity and tranquility.
Facilities & Services
Rickata offers 5 kiakias set right along side the ocean beach front that can accommodate both single and double. The kiakias have no fans nor air conditioners, but have cool windy ocean breeze that lures guests to sleep during the night. All kiakias have mattresses, pillows, blankets and mosquito nets for sleeping comfort. It has two shared toilets constructed with a mix of local and western materials. Lights are run by generator.
The lodge has a separate dining unit with table and chairs. The kitchen has cooking facilities and a deep freezer where food and beverages can be kept cold. Rickata also has its own garden where they grow vegetables including their own mini farm for poultry and pork.
Local and international cuisine are available to meet the needs of their inhouse guests. Their bar also serves cold beer, soft drinks and mineral water. Rickata also offer services including free airport transfers, hire of truck for island guided tours or picnic tours to the end of the island. Hire of boat for trip to Bike Islet and fishing can also be arranged on arrival. Motor bikes are ideal for exploring the island and are also available for hire.
