| Teretia's KPC Christmas Island Homestay |
|
Come stay with us on beautiful Christmas Island, the largest atoll and one of most remote islands in the world. The surf is excellent and uncrowded from November through May. Deep sea game fish are a short boat ride away. And we have literally millions of breeding seabirds to check out and photograph. Teretia, your host, is a Kiribati Islander, and married to Henry, a retired marine biologist and avid surfer, fisherman and diver. Join us and our daughter Raeua, in our home for island style living. Our KiaKia, a very comfy thatch ‘shack’ on the beach has excellent surf right out front. The breeze is always offshore and grooms the waves to perfection. If you like to catch big fish, we’ll go with Moana our good friend and legendary island guide for over 40 years. Our faire is island style, heavy on the yellowfin tuna and wahoo. Teretia cooks the best fish you’ve ever eaten, guaranteed. Meals and happy hour are on the beach in front of the KiaKia with green flash sunsets a couple days a week. Our prices are very reasonable. 500 USD a week per person for lodging and meals. Boat trips to Cook Island for excellent surf, fishing and birds are on a share expense basis – about $80 to $140 per day. Beer and munchies are for sale in local shops. See you on Christmas Teretia and Henry |
