Swimming & Beach Spots - There are popular swimming and beach areas can be found up at North Tarawa islets of Abatao, Biketawa and Naa. On South Tarawa, you can access good swimming spots at the Betio-Bairiki Dai Nippon causeway and at Ambo on the lagoon side.

Soccer and volleyball are popular on the islands of Kiribati. Basketball and Tennis are also popular on Tarawa and you can catch an afternoon’s game at the Bairiki Courts or the Sports Complex in Betio. You can play beach volley ball at the Ambo Lagoon Club on Ambo and the Taiwan Park on Betio where they have beach volley ball grounds.
